Vision for the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences: To lead the nation in education, research, development and scholarship in the areas of weather and regional climate, environmental sustainability, geographic information science, wind and solar exploration, and human interactions with the Earth’s atmosphere and surface.

The Mission of the University of Oklahoma is to provide the best educational experience for our students through excellence in teaching, research and creative activity, and service to the state and society.

The overall goal for the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences is to support accomplishment of the University’s mission: By preparing students for professional careers in academia, industry, and government; Through innovative research and outstanding scholarship; and By taking a leadership role in the national weather and climate enterprise.
